Spring Testing
This time of year I begin to feel the pressure of testing. It happens to me after each Valentine's Day has passed. For my students, I have OELPA testing or Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment. This test covers the four domains that level the English learners: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I have approximately 150 students to test on computer this year. The speaking tests take the longest and between this one and writing, I'm not sure which comes out the worst. The problem with so many of the English learners is that even if they can decode words, they many times don't know what they are reading or saying so it's really difficult to use the words is speaking and in writing. I decided to develop some vocabulary products that I could use during my small group intervention pull-outs. Here they are and I think they have made a positive difference with my kiddos.https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/3rd-Grade-Core-Daily-Vocabulary-Skills-Review-Boxes-1045188
